Astrid is an award-winning creative director with two decades of leadership in design. Her goal is to create meaningful work that is conceptually driven, emotionally engaging and meticulously crafted.

Astrid studied graphic design at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design (BA) and the Royal College of Art (MA) before setting up her own studio in Barcelona. After a decade running her practice, she co-founded the design consultancy Atlas with Pablo Martín in 2013.

In 2018 she was invited to join Pentagram as a partner, where she led her team for three years. After a stint at COLLINS as Vice President Creative Director, she now leads her London-based studio focusing on brand identities, editorial design, exhibitions, websites and packaging for clients including Phaidon, Tate, Vitra, the National Portrait Gallery, Acciona, PORT and Mack.

Astrid led the celebrated redesign of the arts and culture magazine Elephant from 2013–2017 and was art director of PORT magazine from 2021–2023.

Her work, which has received more than 200 international awards, has been widely published. An active member of the design community, she regularly chairs and judges international design competitions, and lectures extensively all over the world. 

She is also a visiting lecturer at the Royal College of Art and Central Saint Martins and is the president of the International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD).
