Anton & Irene

Irene Pereyra is the co-founder of Brooklyn-based interaction design studio Anton & Irene (antonandirene.com). Since 2007 she has led the strategy and UX initiatives for a large variety of clients and projects, including: the Met Museum, M+ Museum Hong Kong, the American newspaper USA Today, Kickstarter, Balenciaga, Wacom, EA, Adobe, Spotify, Google, Nickelodeon, Karim Rashid, the BBC, Red Bull, artist Shantell Martin, and Austrian lighting company Zumtobel. She also collaborated with SPACE10/IKEA on the future of communal living. The studio spends three months a year on self-initiated design projects, during which time the interactive documentary, One Shared House, and the NU-RO analog watch were created.

Irene’s work has been recognised at Cannes and by the Webbys, Emmys, Red Dot Design Awards, Adobe Max Awards, the Interaction Design Association, the Society for News Design, the One Show and the European Design Awards. Her personal projects have been shown in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Paris, New York, Copenhagen, London, Cincinnati, Singapore, Barcelona and Tegucigalpa.

Irene has been a guest speaker at more than 100 international design conferences and has lectured at a variety of educational institutions including the School of Visual Arts in New York, Hyper Island in Stockholm, Elisava in Barcelona, Strelka Institute in Moscow, and the Design Academy in Eindhoven. She is also the chair of the Interaction Design program at Harbour.Space in Barcelona and Bangkok.

Irene holds a Master of Science in Communications Design from Pratt Institute in New York. Originally from Amsterdam, she now lives in Barcelona with her partner, the Argentinian demographer, Juan Galeano.
